King's Consent and Kangaroos

You know when the first Englishmen came to Australia, they saw this weird animal with pouch on their belly jumping up high and far. Curious, they ask the aborigines what are those creatures...
But as we know, the aborigines don't understand English. And so the english use body signs...
The aborigines, looking at them... and replied "Kan Gha Ru". So the english adopted the word Kangaroo.
But the fact is, the aborigines "Kan Gha Ru' actually meant "We don't understand you..."

What a story behind a word we don't really care much in our everyday lives eh.. Maybe we're not in Australia that's why...

But here's another word fact that's quite amusing...

Way back then in ancient England, people could not have sex without the King's permission. Why is it so I don't know. Maybe for population control I guess. There were no rubbers back then wut. So, whenever the people wanna have a child, they would get permission from the royalties and the in return had to hang a plague on their door when they are on bed....

The plague reads... Fornification Under Consent of the King.... (F.U.C.K)

And so the origin of the word f*ck.

Got this from one email sent by a friend. Find it interesting so thought of sharing it here... And yea, the government might give a fuck next time when our populations is way too densed sometime later....

Go Banana

Graduation's this Saturday....

your one stop clothing outlet for bananas~

And everyone's busy getting their own suit at the nearest department store. Opportunity of a lifetime so as to say. That's why we gotta look smart...

And my... do I had a tough time getting one for myself. If it weren't for the regulations to wear light coloured tops on that particular day..

So I sought for those whities...

And I look like one bludy darn waiter out there. Won't be surprise if someone were to ask me to bring them a glass of wine. Well, maybe I should... at least there's tips in the end~

But its taxable... wth

Sorry for camwhoring by the way... lol.

Why im apologising?

Anyway...

Opting for an after party after the ceremony though. Since everyone's on tops. Might as well let it loose. So many hotspots at Pyramid after all. And never to Euphoria I had yet...

Still, Tax Paper's on the following Monday though. So gotta study, not party.

Sigh....

Feet

Come eat my feet~

Speeding Lorries Drifting Buses

I kinda freak out sometimes whenever Im driving in the highway. Not by any Rempit or drunkards or sort, but those daredevil monster vehicles instead... those lorries and buses.

As they would just speed through the highway like nobody's business, akin to a speeding bullet train... then passing your car with a loud freaky gust of sound from the wind.. and of course, the loud roar of their monstrous engines... And hell no you wanna stay an inch near them whenever they fly like that.

There's once.. about a year ago during my trip to Genting with friends, we were taking the bus towards the hill that made Uncle Lim famous. And upon going uphill to the resort... Man, the way the driver maneuver the bus... You wish you were in Takumi's AE86 then that bus of the sick driver... I can say more than half of the passengers were praying hard the whole time during the uphill trip.

And that's why you get cases of buses falling to the ravine and sort in the headlines...

And lorries...?

I suggest you use KESAS Highway towards Port Klang. There you'll see dozens of lorry F1 drivers wanna be... And its one of the many places you don't wanna mess with lorries. Cuz they own that place... Its their grandfather's road... Even JKR had to clean their pot holes...

Then there was last week, while on my way to Ed's house for some steamboat. There's this very unexpected accident I came across at KESAS highway.

Whereby the lorry ate through the divider...

And its no U-turn the lorry's taking... Somehow, the lorry lose control in the middle of the highway and rammed through the divider. With its front body sticking out at the other side of the road. Causing massive jam in both directions... Which of course, is contributed by curious onlooker as well. Including me... And that's where you get those pic btw~

And here's a better close up....

As you can see... the lorry actually skid from the middle lane. How possible is that I do wonder... Didn't know lorries can actually drift.

But one thing scary about it is what actually happened at the other side of the road...

If you could see clearly, the lorry upon crashing through the divider actually hit another vehicle coming by in the opposite direction. What unfortunate fate for the poor driver across. Not sure how's the driver though...

But seriously, if the other driver were cruising in daredevil speed, the scene would have been much more worse.

Not to mention if there's another driver on the right lane when the lorry goes out of control...

Its just freaky how thing's could happen on the roads out of our expectations huh...

That's why they say whenever you drive, treat other drivers as if their stupid..! So as to expect whatever circumstances that could happen whenever you're driving... for safety reasons.

And seriously.. once again. Better not mess with lorries. Don't even think of tail gating one... nor going side by side with it. Unless you wanna catch a glimpse of the Grim Reaper then I got nothing much to say.

Last but not least... drive safely. And no speeding unless its necessary....

Do think of your love ones... especially to those going back this Raya. May all had a safe journey home.

And Selamat Berbuka Berpuasa,

Ciaoz.

Speechless*

My... after a week without any internet connection I found my blog spammed... the chatbox. Actually. What unprofessional work of em...

Yea, i know who you are... see you in college :)

Anyway, I reformatted my lappie last week and that's when Im starting to have problems with my connections. Ermm... So called problems.

At first I though it was a change in my settings... you know.. IP address got default or sort...

And everyone was asking me why I didn't online..?
And that's the answer I gave. "reformat lappie, internet setting got change, cant online..."

In the end I called TM Net... and guess what....

The problem that actually inhibits me from accessing the internet is...

Wrong login ID...

Sugary Hands

A bouquet of Sugars~

Certainly it makes a good gift for Valentine's Day. Colours blend too. And your partner would be glad on how sweet the gift is to him/her...

And some more its free...!

Just get yourself to the nearest Secret Recipe and grab one from their table back home. They won't kill you for that, cuz they are harmless. Trust me...

A knock at the door with two policemen infront of your house the next day is the worst ever after that... Nothing much.
So please don't try this out there...
Nway, was at Secret Recipe the other day. And out of boredom I took out my K810 for some candid shots...
And all I get was this...

Hands..

Hands...

And more hands...

Sigh... My friends had a phobia for cameras. But anyhow, at least I get to start up with something from that.

What about a collection of hand shots from everyone... 1001 Hands collection. Then post it at Facebook... na... I'll create my own.. Handbook that is...

Yea, maybe I should.

So everyone out there... Do lend me a hand k

Cheers

Payne

You know Payne...?

Yes... Max Payne, the once legendary gun slinging 3rd person action shooting game with a touch of bullet time effects to be abused.... Played?

Its been quite a while though. A 2002 production if I can remember.

But its one of my favourites. Even now. Though I no longer lay my hands on it. I don't have it with me here either. The CD's back in my hometown. Yet, felt the urge sometimes to play it once again and dwell into the world of its own.

Im no psycho. Just a big fan. Like a fan of Star Wars in the universe of their own...

And so does this. With the world of its own, a dark world in an eye of a maverick cop. And upon seeing the tragic murder of his family and partner, vengeance is all he has left...

So out he was, seeking the truth. Luring himself into the underground world facing enemies from one worthless street thug to street kings...

And he's only armed with guns. Big small bad guns ranging from a 9mm pistol to one Mp4... even molotov cocktails...

That's what you'll be playing as in the game. As a pitiful cop with a bitter vision... running and flying around dogding bullets on the way while firing a merciless barrage of gunshots to multiple enemies with blood splatters everywhere. That, provided you turn on the bloody effect via its settings...

Plus, as situations becomes intense. Adrenalines rushed in. Heart beats faster... and the world just seems slower than ever... even bullets can't escape from your eyes~

That's why the bullet-time function in the game...

Which is quite handy when it comes to tight scenarios... And so with just a right click of the mouse, almost every situation in the game could be handled easily... with style...

Which amounts to a spam of abuses of it in the game.

But one thing that attracts me to this game though is actually the storyline.

Compared with the simple gameplay of just dodging and shooting, the game actually offers a very complex and dramatic storyline. Which I was deeply indulged with it actually...

Its a story deep with vengeance and justice.... with trust which turns out to be betrayal... and a spark of romance which ended up with tragedy...

And the story was so good in the first game they came up with a sequel of it. So there's Max Payne 1 and 2 out there so far. 3rd one is rumoured to be in development but that was 4 years ago. So God knows when the next one is coming, if its really in production then.

I do hope it would be out though...

Cuz i miss seeing my character flying in the air shooting while dodging bullets...

And seriously, I felt like Chow Yunn Fat whenever I do that in the game. Its just so damn cool. Plus the matrix style bullet time frame, man... I just can't get my head out of it.

And its so good I actually anticipated a movie of it few years ago...

Hitman was out last year... So there's a possibility.

And true enough, there is... a Chow Yunn Fatt wanna be in action~

And Im serious... No kidding. Nope, its not a photoshop effect either. Its Max Payne, in its real life action version... a movie.

Coming soon in cinemas next month...

10.17.08... so book a date~
And the stories' based upon the original game plot as well. But to what extent whether it covers the 2 parts of the game or just the first Im not too sure yet.

But what matter is I finally get to see the game I fancied so much to be out premiering soon in the cinemas nearby. Almost a dream come true you may say.

And let's just hope it would be good as the game turned out to be...

Oh, Mark Wahlberg ( remember Italian Job...? ) would be playing Max Payne in the movie by the way. And he do look like Payne though. With his sharp protuding nose and other facial features...

So 17th October is the date. But one thing that worries me though is the very dark and violent elements in it... Cuz if its screened here, there would be an onslaught of cuts and censors which would just ruin the whole thing... Too obvious to ask why rite...~

So my suggestion?

Go get DvD...

A Jump Start

To start a career of our own, we need to jump start our engines...

and hop to Melbourne?

Na... I didn't jump to Metropolitan College, nor any other colleges elsewhere. Just got this goodie bag from one of my previous institutional search for a place to start my career. CPA was one of my choices then, that's why the bag.

And I've kept it since, and came by to it again last Thursday...

...while cleaning up my room of the mess from my CAT days. The old PT scripts, notes and scribbles...

Soon to be burnt~

And despite all that, managed to find some of the very valuable rubbish I could get on that particular day.

Including my exam docket which I though I've lost it during the CAT exam on June. And there you have it now, back to haunt me again...

I'm gonna sent it to the National Archive tomorrow... or post it to Mr Teo's house... Why?

I dunno...

And seeing all the brochures. I kinda miss alot of stuff during my stay here for a year already...

What a life...

And what the heck is this?

And why this worthless post here... I just felt like posting it. To show some cleasing of my room.

'Azam baru'... you can consider that as well. But that's not the main point either. Don't even know why.

Probably there's nothing much to do this days... and man, its been quite a hectic day since last week. Had non stop of workload since then. Not a single rest until today, and probably going on till next week.

And it had been a while since i exhert myself so hard.

Soon after that, I'll just take a break.

And do something worthwhile...

Considering to take up mandarin class as well. As in to read and write. Who knows I might end up working in Hong Kong next time.... Just to widen up my opportunity.

And once a banana doesn't always a banana either...

Well, at least Im half peeled.

Humble Fries

Was eating fries at McDonald's Central KL today.... Yes, Central KL.

What the hell Im doing there out of sudden you ask...?

Well, to have my tea break after some walk at Petaling Street. Just to take a look around. After all, its been a while since I last went there. Since I was 10 years old I guess... and never a step there since. Till today...

So was there just to check things out... and it wasn't so crowded today as it is always said. Though its public holiday. Only tourists I saw flocking around curiously checking out stuffs that amused them.

Yea...

And so I was, in Central KL... munching my fries while taking in some McNuggets in between. Was alone actually. So there's only strangers on the other tables to accompany me there. Which one of them was a young lad enjoying his burger on a table right behind me. With a group of Afros towards my right. And my left, a glass pane where the stairs down to the KTM railway is upon view...

....so there was I, alone as mentioned earlier. Eyes moving there and here observing everyone around me out of boredom... taking a peek at what they eat and what were they doing.

Like a group of mat sallehs sitting on the table in front, busy on a conversation discussing something with one of them holding a map pin pointing locations while the other's busy on his burger.

Which kinda attracted my attention...

But then they leave the table soon enough... but,

Midway towards heading out of the outlet, they came to a halt. One of them told the other guy upon something while pointing at the table they just left...

So they head back to the table...

''They left something on the table..."

That was my first assumption. Then I look at the table... nothing. Even chairs were empty on top. Only some pile of empty burger boxes and a few untouched clean tissues on a tray.

Back to grab the clean tissues obviously... man, I didn't know mat sallehs also that kiasu...!

And that was my assumption again... second one this time.

So while I was guessing, the guy finally reached his table. And there I was anticipating what he'll do next...

So upon reaching the table, he stretched his hands... and reached out for the tray instead. Out of my surprise.

"What da...? He's gonna bring that back home as souvenir ar..?" I though.

Well, he did took it away with him though. But he headed towards the plate dispenser bin and dump it there himself instead.

Something usually the waiters there would do instead of customers, plus me... and you..?

So I was dumbstruck... with awe actually. Upon how down to earth are they. Low profile with a good sense of humility even though they're travelers from a far, and furthermore... westerners. Keeping a good impression as a foreigner you may say, but I don't think many Malaysians would even bother to do that out there either. After all, its already our norm to leave the trays behind for the waiters to do the cleaning since the first McDonald's came in.

And especially after getting constant shoulder contact from locals without a word of apology and some street spitting in front of my shoes at Petaling Street, not to mention some desperate passengers shoving themselves in before I even stepped out of the KTM... certainly my impression would built after witnessing the humility the mat sallehs had shown too....

But part of it is because this is our home. So we treat it as if its our home. Even out there in the streets. And if we were to step into foreign lands, its always our nature to show some humilty then. As we're considered visitors. Like a guest visiting someone's home. So as to show some manners and keep a good impression....

You only see Ah Bengs shouting at you "ha mi ci bai..??!!" when you gave them a long stare unconciously in coffeeshops instead them doing it towards foreigners in foreign lands don't you..?

So I guess its already part of us. Taking it for granted within our boundaries and staying on top of our toes beyond it. And the same might go for the foreigners as well. Only the level of humility shown is what differentiate us from them and anyone else...

How different it can be... Im still quite lighthearted upon seeing them though. Even after missing my first KTM due to the stuffed sardines inside on my way home after the meal...

And still is...

That's why Im here...

Into this post out of humility ;)

*Oh yea, after they took the table away, no waiter actualy came to clean and wipe the tables though... See what i mean..?
