A Bore Boar Boarding a Boat with Loads of Boars

Im currently into nothing...

Other than studying, eat and sleep... with a few hours of going online. Nothing else. Oh yea, plus some additional time on reading. Books on epics, ancient civilisation and history... including the sex lives of the chinese emperors. Sure, I'll share my newfound knowledge in future posts.

But currently into this book, The Unending Mystery... where the origins and myths behind our modern day maze and labyrinths are traced. A boring subject to discuss but a fascinating read. Author is good. That's why...

Yet, I find boredom still lingering around despite all this. Even facing my laptop, apart from blogging and poking people on facebook... There's no other better stuff to do. Worst, I can't access my youtube. Stupid pop up that went haywiring my javascript... Any solutions for that?

And I really in the urgent need to install a game here in my laptop. Left for Dead would be great. At least some bullet spray on hundreds of zombies before I go to sleep everynight. Then I wouldn't have nightmares...

Anyway, for those of you who are bored like me. Try clicking the Ad above my page. Its one Shinjuku Incident movie game from Anglia Shandy. Where you need to register, and the play the game by running a way from a group of yakuza avoiding obstacles and flying baseball bats.... PLayer with the best scores would had a chance to meet up Jackie Chan and Daniel Wu on 31st March where the movie's premiered.

*update* Adverts gone... Nway, if ur still bored. Click on the link below...

http://www.anglia.com.my/shinjuku/index.htm

But one thing though, the game's tough. You need very precise timing and dexterity to complete it. So try it, who know's you'll get it. And don't forget to bring me along then.

Speaking of that, Im definitely heading to Pavillion this 31st to see my 'uncle' :D

ps : Dong, if you're reading this, I want the pic with the Korean MAsk on pls.... tq!

S.O.S, Save Our Soil

McFlurry has gone smaller nowadays...

Na... It's just the cup. Portion's still the same. That's what the McD fella told me. Which I think is true after all... ever complained about it being served with a big cup but the content itself is only half the size of it?

Ronald McDonald must have realised it and so he made it small. Also to cut cost by saving plastics... which in turn would be beneficial for the environment. How earth friendly.

Earth Day's around the corner anyway...

And there's this campaign here and there to turn off all lights and live in darkness for an hour to show support for Earth's special day. Might as well screw Thomas Edison in the first place for inventing light bulbs rite...

I meant what's the point for just an hour? Fossil fuels and logs would still be burning for the next coming hour... and if there's still no initiative for an alternative source to be put in place for the next generation to come, whatever campaign on that day itself serves no meaning at all..

Anyhow, seeing the whole city going into total darkness would be cool enough... hmm..

A peek at Little India Klang

World Women's Day just ended last Saturday. And at least the effort's worthwhile. Girl power is something you don't rarely hear nowadays. All the discrimination's and biasness are long gone and now they are a force to be reckoned with today. Even America almost had their first female president if it weren't for Obama...

Opposite Lakeside Terrace, near Kemuning

With all the celebration's this month, there's a couple of birthdays to celebrate and St Patrick's day next week. Too bad it's Irish. Not Malaysian. But there's some event going on though...

And next week itself is PT2. Our next internal examination for all ACCA candidates. I actually had mine earlier which is this Thursday for tax actually, part-timers. But just recovered from fever... so Im still deciding whether to take it this Thursday or join the Group 3 next week.

Part of it is the after effects of having just 2 papers this sem too... So free Im already turning lazy.

Need some motivation to get me driven. Speaking of that, some of the group 3 fellows are quite motivated. Been hanging around with Andre and gang, knew them through Christopher, another resit mate. And its already the 2nd time Im seeing them going all the way to Starbucks at Pyramid just to study after class in the morning. Kinda reminded me of my CAT days at Starbucks SS15...

But their 2nd attempt for group study ended up in TGV watching Watchmen with us. What great influence...

And the movie's.... slow, dark and gloomy. With the narratives reminiscences of the classic private detective series. Only the intellectuals would understand it.

And that's it for now.

Till the next update,

Ciaoz

Elephant Warrior

At a young age, he did somersaults... thousand times from the back of elephants in the river trying to be Jackie Chan to upmost perfection.

Learned Muay Thai at the age of 10, graduated with a degree in physical sports science, became a stuntman under training of Panna Ritikrai, a legendary thai action star...

Soon becoming the fourth Asian, and the only Thai... to reach the far west.

And his the man behind Ong Bak...

Introducing Tony Jaa, the uprising action star from Thailand that never fails to impress me. He may already be a familiar figure to most of y'all ya.. Well, for those who doesn't have an rough idea, now you know lar....

Na... Im not writing a biography about him. Its just that after watching his latest flick Ong Bak 2 that I felt like typing about it. Yea... *type type...

Well, all I can say is that this sequel is nowhere compared to the first Ong Bak. Though the story doesn't have any relation to the previous one... it still lacks in detail in its storyline and also the character upbringing... including the main character itself which you would eventually realise after the abrupt unexpected end of the movie.

Yea.. and initially I thought after those depicted realistic fights, he would bring the girl back to his home for some depicted realistic love scene.... *

But one thing that holds for up for this movie is the setup itself. Watching it really sets you back far to the ancient old glorious kingdom in Siam... or Ayuthaya as in the movie. Definitely not cheap.

And of course, the highlight is the action itself. Which is actually the whole purpose of the movie. Even the trailer's promoting the uber realistic fights you see in it. Realistic as in no graphic and wire works in it, where all actions are man made.... except for the arrows I guess...

But one thing about it that makes it different from other action flicks is the incorporation of various martial art styles in the fights... Every asian styles you can name of. From traditional Siamese Muay Boran to Southern Chinese Tiger Crane and Iron Shirt... with added grappling scenes where Mix Martial Arts would come into your mind watching it.

Even weapon works are not to be missed where you find the double blades of Thai's Krabi Krabong, Samurai swords from Japan, chinese rope dart, double daggers from Kuntao/Pentjak Silat and the Persian moonblade with character a reminiscence of the Assasin, a secret organisation once feared in the ancient kingdom Persia.

And its with this wide variety of movement in the fight choreography that leaves viewers slightly dissapointed as most of them would be expecting another round of raw Thai's signature knees and elbows... not stylised catfights and samurai showdowns.

So its a let down for some while being a brief cultural exchange to the other...

To sum up, our director here is trying to foster up some martial spirit among viewer alike. To which the emphasize his going in also leads to the poor storyline and dissapointment among many. After all, not everyone are martial freaks ryte...

Anyway, I quite enjoy the actions. And Tony Jaa definitely did a good job. But was hoping for more stunts from him though. Probably in his future movies to come.

I'll be waiting...

Broga Hills

Sunday, 4 am... I rose from bed. Hardly slept the whole night. And there's some plans going on later. So had enough of lying down... Washed up, packed some stuff, a mug of coffee to jolt my nerves and straight to my cousin's car at 5am...

Which we then headed to Semenyih for some outdoor trekking up a hill to watch sunrise. Live scene straight from the top of the hills in Broga. Some area in the outskirts near the borders between Negeri Sembilan and Selangor.

And its one long journey to the top. 45 minutes drive along KESAS from Klang and then another hour or so to climb uphill.

And it all started like this....

Where we parked our car

We're in the middle of a palm tree estate at start and it was blurdy damn dark...

Another shot attempt, this time with flash
So fortunately we're equiped with torchlights. Cuz it was one hell of a journey there. Up above the palm estate was some forest where you risk falling to a mini ravine 10 feet deep if you're not careful.... And high up is the plains, or lalang infested top of the hill where again, you risk tumbling down like a ball with your head bashed againts the rocks if you're not careful.
Of all the paranoia.... We ended up on top after all....

Just in time before the sunrise

Cousin Jillian, her boy Daniel and Su Yen

And we're not alone...

The hill's one attraction among many as well. Especially those with guns and tripods. So there's plenty of it being set up at the top. Like cannons ready to fire upon incoming enemies from the far distant lands...

Some couple of shots.... from my camera phone. I don't have a gun. DSLR Camera if you still don't get it.

From where the sun will rise

The other peak of the hill

From the other peak

The other side away from the sunrise. Apparently there's some lightning far ahead. And we're actually wondering when's our next turn...

Stayed till about 8.30am as the mosquitoes are sucking us dry and the bees already bugging us. So off we head to Darulsalam at SS15 and then a nice sleep at home.

Slept till 4pm... One nice 12 hour cycle.

Planning to head there again sometime though... if anyone's interested. :D

And I seriously salute those old men who were running up and down the hill that morning. Like ninjas... even I couldn't catch up when they're going downslope.

And certainly would like to catch up with them next time.
To show them their old....
